ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
AVORIS GmbH is commited to making its Website accessible, in accordance with the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (WZG BGBl. I. Nr. 59/2019 idgF).
This accessibility statement applies to https://avoris.at
Compliance status
This Website is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reason(s):
a. Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Some images are missing alternative text, making this information inaccessible to screen reader users. This means that WCAG Success Criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content) is not met. All non-decorative images are continuously being supplemented with alternative texts.
Many of our PDF documents are not accessible. For example, they are not tagged, which means that screen reader users cannot access the structural information, or can only do so inadequately. Therefore, WCAG Success Criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) is not met. These documents are being continuously replaced with accessible PDF versions.
WCAG Criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) is only partially met. We are working on optimizing the contrast mode.
Not all headings are descriptive (WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.6 Headings and Labels).
b. Disproportionate burden
Not all of our videos include audio descriptions. However, all essential information is conveyed verbally, and the visual content does not contain any additional significant information, serving only as a supplement. We believe that providing audio descriptions at this time would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of accessibility regulations.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on May 6, 2025.
The statement was based on a self-assessment. To support the evaluation, the Eye-Able® technology from Web Inclusion GmbH and the Chrome Lighthouse accessibility audit were used. The assessment covered both editorial and technical criteria and was last reviewed on April 22 and May 6, 2025, respectively.

Enforcement procedure
If the response from the above contact is not satisfactory, you may file a complaint with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints filed online via the electronic contact form.
The FFG will examine whether the complaint relates to violations of the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (WZG), particularly to failure on the part of the federal government or associated institutions to comply with the accessibility requirements.
If the complaint is justified, the FFG will make recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures designed to remedy the problem.
